OK...first off I will extend thanks to those who came to the party (both Cam and non-Cam alike) and cake-like festivities afterwards planned for me by someone else. Their company was much appreciated...
***Begin Rant***
Now for the actual part of this one...
I made everyone who needed to know about my upcoming absence from game last night aware of it. I had no intention of having anyone skip game or anything of the sort to come to a party, again, that I did not know about. It's kind of hard for me to know who's going to show up to a place other than the U for a party that was planned by someone else without my knowledge (definition of a surprise party, no?). Out of everyone who came to the party other than myself, only 2 people were actually members of the Cam. TWO people. That's it. Not twenty people, not a thousand people...just two. We've had more games than I can count where half of the Mage-playing contingent of the SLC Cam didn't even show up, and people are upset about two...doesn't make sense to me. I can at least see a shred of an debatable point with MountainCon looming ahead this weekend, but the last time I checked, that's what DOWNTIME actions were made for...but that's just me rattling off facts because, well, I can.
My final point is this: I WILL NOT stand for anyone, and I mean ANYONE taking/making cracks, potshots, snide comments or anything else at not only the person who planned a party for me because she wanted to (albeit on the only day possible), but the woman I love. This is your warning, folks. Plain as day in whatever font colors you have your LJ displays set to (avoiding the black/white metaphor). I hear anything, read anything: you WILL NOT enjoy the forthcoming tirade...and I am damn serious about this. Trying to ream out someone for doing something nice and not doing a damn thing wrong is not only a disrespect to her, it's a disrespect to me as well...

Well, the title says it all...
I haven't touched this thing in (it says 22 weeks) a while...it's probably right...
Big things as of the past few months...
-switched karate schools after the fiasco at the spring tournament and to keep my sanity...
-have been attempting to actually make my place closer to livable...
-passed the Tiger test in the middle of June...(hence the icon)...:)
-got to do the old shpiel of winning random stuffed thing for Ami at Lagoon earlier in the day before the Tiger test...(bright orange floppy dog...his name is Phil)...
-finally got a new stereo in my car so my sanity is not further lost by having the old deck spit out the tape adapter every 15-20 seconds...Pioneer deck + 4 Pioneer speakers > factory equipment...(Lordi sounds even better now)...:)
-hoping I can get the fuel pump swapped out tomorrow...
-my parents are possibly moving to Florida...still don't know how I feel about that one...
-got elected Requiem ST...and have since been trying to find time to do things for it that I need to do...may have to cut the dead weight from my schedule and just go back to being a player...dunno yet...
-busted my right wrist at work...after a month, the idiot "doctor" at the med. clinic I had to go to finally sent me to a specialist...this guy actually knew what he was doing and, unlike the first guy, actually showed me my goddamn x-rays...turns out there's no broken bones in my wrist/hand, but he's thinking there's some tendonitis on the left side of it, and probably some ligament damage on the top part of it (more easily explained in person)...
-have started praying to the gods it'll be fine by October, cause I ain't missing the damned tournament...

So this numbnut rear-ends me on the EB 5300 S. I-15 off-ramp.
Damage Report:
1) Trunk is caved in and won't open without about 371,292 presses of the auto-trunk release button.
2) Panel under trunk that holds not only the reverse lights but the trunk catch bar is also caved in, causing #1 in the first place.
3) LR signal/tail-light is completely shattered.
4) Rear bumper is pushed down a few inches...may have to be replaced...dunno yet.
The tail-light/turn signal still works, though. It just won't be red due to the aforementioned shattered lens cover. The reverse lights still work, according to both the investigating highway patrolman and the aforementioned fucktard.
Summary:
Budget-Pimp is still drivable. He's just going to look even less pretty than he did before all this. |
